All three are similar, but the context in which each is used differs:

A pun is a play on words for humourous effect. A joke, (and often a very bad one!) in other words.

Wordplay is rather more deliberate and clever than punning. It is very close to punning, but is regarded as witty and clever and often not said for comic effect.

A wordgame is a game, rather than a figure of speech. The term was coined by Wittgenstein to describe a to a range of disparate human activities that bear to one another only what one might call family resemblances.

The nuances are slight but I hope this helps to clarify your understanding. I’ve added a couple of references that might help.

By the way, punning is not just limited to English. I know of several puns in German and French as well!

They are not _exactly_ the same, but they are close.

Wordplay is "the witty exploitation of the meanings and ambiguities of words, esp. in puns."

A pun is "a joke exploiting the different possible meanings of a word or the fact that there are words that sound alike but have different meanings "

A word game is "a game involving the making, guessing, or selection of words."

So, wordplay is a more general term for clever use of words:
Shakespeare was good at wordplay.
I enjoy wordplay.

A pun is a more specific term. It is a type of joke:
He made a pun.
"A hole has been found in the nudist camp wall. The police are looking into it." (this is a pun that uses the double meanings of "looking into it" for comic effect. "looking into" means "physically looking into" or "investigating").

A word game is a type of game:
Let’s play a word game.
A crossword puzzle is a word game.

The most often used word of the three is "pun". Many people often use the expression "no pun intended" after they use an expression or word that has more than one meaning. Next would be wordplay, then word game.

A pun is using two or more words with a similar sound but different meanings for an amusing effect such as saying "there's snow change in the weather" instead of "there's no change in the weather." Word play can include puns but I think it's a more general term referring to talking in a way that twists the meanings of words and phrases.

When the final compiled code runs in the computer’s terminal, Scanner works a little more better. In the IDE you have dirty buffers. You can try…
age = input.nextInt();
String garbage = input.nextLine();
System.out.println(); // should clear the buffer

Scanner.nextLine() reads up to the RETURN, gets the string and then discards the RETURN
Scanner.nextInt() reads the next TOKEN, in this case a word (that gets converted into a numeric)

may be because of the nextInt() you are using. Does it take the input from console on the next line?
